My Ankle Liposuction

Hi there, I’m a 23-year-old college student who just had ankle liposuction last month. I’m trying to share my experience on having liposuction to all of you  who  have the same problem like me. I was born with cankles and large calves. My weight has changed +/- 20 lbs even though my lower legs had been a little bit thinner at lower weights, I always had cankles. Cankles are in which your calf seems to meet your foot without there being a defined ankle there. I believe I have to hold some water weight as well because they are always puffy in the front.

About 9 months ago I managed to get ankle and calf liposuction from a reliable doctor around my area. I do think it is very important to have reasonable expectations. My doctor definitely changed the shape of my legs – there is more definition instead of the straight up/down cankle look – but my ankles are still large. It is bone, not much you can do about that. That being said, I think it was worth every penny to me. I’ve began putting on skirts and while I will never have fabulous legs, I am not deathly ashamed of them either. It was a bit difficult when my friends were like “woww,  I’ve never seen you in a dress”.

There is certainly considerable outages, don’t let anybody let you know any differently. Probably a lot more than with liposuction of other parts as a result of gravity. I had been in bed for about a week. You certainly need someone to take care of you. Then it was 8 weeks before I could do any exercise – though I could walk fine. No heels for probably 3 months. The inflammation slowly gone away during a period of 9 months – I’d personally certainly advise this as an early fall procedure. I still get a bit of swelling 5 months later if I wear high heels all day. And no more 4 inch heels for me – ever.

The discomfort wasn’t terrible at all, really more uncomfortable than painful. My doctor gave me hydrocodone. Definitely get some of the compression pants. I read tons of stuff about how long to wear compression pants. Some articles or blog posts claimed it was bad for you, some said leave them on as long as possible. I think it is best to do what your doctor recommends and simply make use of finest objective viewpoint. I’m quite happy, I would say my cankles are more on the “canklette” side now. My doctor really did a great job! I’m now feel confident to wear dresses or skirts, thanks to my cousin who recommend me this website. I really, really recommend this to all of you who need to have ankle liposuction. 🙂
